In West Lancashire League Division Two, Kendal United lost 2-1 to Lostock St Gerard Reserves.

Kendal, who have only picked up one point in 2018, created plenty of opportunities but were unable to find the net.

Lostock opened the scoring after 35 minutes when Will Monks scored from close range.

United continued to create opportunities only to be denied by the goalkeeper before the visitors doubled their lead on 70 minutes as Wes Alexander powered the ball into the net.

Kendal grabbed a consolation deep into stoppage time through first team captain Bailey Kenny.

Kendal slip to ninth in the division while Lostock move up to eighth with the win.

In West Lancashire League Division Three, Milnthorpe Corinthians Reserves edged out Hurst Green Reserves 4-3.

Dan Nowell opened the scoring for Corinthians after four minutes, but Chris Scott's quickfire brace saw Hurst Green go 2-1 up after 21 minutes.

The Cors battled back three minutes later as Will Booth scored with the teams reaching half time all square.

Nowell scored his second at the start of the second half before Elliott Bousfield made it 4-2.

Hurst Green made it a nervous finish for Corinthians when Zac Foley scored, but the Cors held on as they solidify twelfth place in the table.
