NETHERFIELD qualified for Twenty-20 Finals Day after picking up wins over Barrow and Penrith in the at Parkside Road.

The Field defeated Barrow by 15 runs in the first game before picking up an emphatic 60 run victory over Penrith in the second match of the afternoon.

Jack Boyle was the star performer in both games after the top scoring with 54 off 58 against Barrow Barrow before closing on 66 off just 48 balls in the win against Penrith.

In the first game Netherfield edged out Barrow by 15 runs. Netherfield made a bad start after Lewis Edge was bowled by Patrick Allington.

Boyle and John Huck rebuilt the innings as Netherfield were dominant. Huck impressed with the bat making 52 off 48, while Boyle made 54 off 58 balls.

Barrow's Gary Collins picked up figures of 3-17 as Netherfield closed on 146-7.

In reply, Lewis Richardson's 4-32 saw Barrow restricted to 131-9, as Netherfield secured the win.

After a mixed performance in the first game, Netherfield routed Penrith by 60 runs in the second match of the afternoon.

Just like the first game, the Field lost an early wicket after Edge picked out Greg Cameron off the bowling of Dan Morland.

But Boyle and Huck again batted well for a second wicket stand of 49 as Netherfield moved onto 75, before eventually closing on 159-5.

Penrith made a strong start in their reply when Ashwin Hebbar and Eddie Robson posted a first wicket stand of 29. Netherfield though gained full control after Lewis Edge ran out danger man Hebber for a top score of 25 off 15 balls.

Once the Indian Professional departed Netherfield dominated the innings, when Nathan Chambers picked up the wickets of Eddie Robson, Alistair Craig, Greg Cameron and Owen Jones, finishing with figures of 4-15.

By the end, Penrith were restricted to 99-8.
