I am from Virginia Beach, Virginia (USA) and a member of the Lakeland Horticulture Society of Windermere.
The photograph above was taken in June at their Holehird Garden, which is a short distance from the village of Windermere.
My first visit to the Lake District and Holehird was in 2007. I have been fortunate to make a few return visits to travel in your country and visit many of Great Britain's gardens with family, as well as trips with members of the LHS.
Holehird, located on a hillside in the Troutbeck Valley, is the special garden to me, though. This picture gives a glimpse of the landscape taken from the lower garden.
A personal visit with a closer look of the garden is highly recommended!
