On behalf of patients, their families, volunteers and staff, St John’s Hospice would like to extend the sincerest of thanks to the community of Kendal and South Lakes. The success of the recent Kendal Colour Dash hosted at Kirkbie Kendal School was indeed no accident.

Local companies, large and small, individuals and community groups, all contributed to the excellent promotion of the event – culminating in over 690 ‘Dashers’ registering for this inaugural event.

With so many participants and supporters to direct along the historic route, we embraced and valued the overwhelming support from our growing group of volunteers. They assisted with car parking, registration, merchandising, powder throwing, medal giving and essential marshalling – with many local organisations and individuals donating their valuable time. All of this combined to ensure a fun and safe event.

We are so proud to have such a wealth of support from all corners of our community. Thank you to all who contributed to the success of this event.

The event has raised over £17,000 and counting and will go towards helping care for patients from our community with life limiting conditions.
