My wife an I enjoy walks on the beach at Bolton-le- Sands. We come across the unusual, like a half sunken car at Priest Skear, but last Sunday was the best. After noticing many washed-up jellyfish no bigger than five inches across we came across a 'monster' for our shores, a foot and a half wide!

The photograph above shows it next to my size 11 boot.

I know some of these large specimens have reached our southern shores, now it looks like they're moving northwards. Does climate change mean more creatures like this, that normally live in warmer parts of our planet?
