With regards to Mr Tortoishell’s letter about low flying (September 17, 'Low flying keeps us safe'), my son was in the first Gulf War as a tank commander and he said to me: “Mum, without them I might not have come back”.
So I always wish them ‘God’s Speed’ as they fly over me in the South Lakes.
