LETTERS: Twenty's Plenty if a nonsense
Twenty's Plenty is a nonsense. The highway through the small hamlet of Bouth is only subject to the national speed limit (60mph) and is a convenient diversion when there is a problem on the A590 between Haverthwaite crossroads and Greenodd, creating danger and causing concern to local residents. Some years ago we applied for a statutory speed limit and all we got was 'Twenty's Plenty'.
This has been a complete waste of money as with no statutory authority it is universally ignored.
