LETTER: What has being in the EU over the last 40 years done for farmers?
Regarding the 'Great Farming divide over whether to stay or leave' the European Union (Gazette, June 2), come on farmers, take a look around you.
What has being in the EU over the last 40 years done for farmers?
It has got rid of most of them. How many farms and farm buildings are not converted into houses? How many milk cows can you see around you?
We should produce food for our own country.
We should stop importing eggs, milk, lamb, beef and pork and become self sufficient and charge what you need to charge to produce our own food.
