LETTER: Where have all the swallows gone?
WHERE have all the swallows gone?
We used to see at least 49 swallows perched on the electricity cables near our garden. This has now dwindled to seven.
Are they being captured on their emigration routes? Or are they and their offspring being affected by chemical fumes which pollute the atmosphere from nearby chimneys on the buildings where they nest?
