I AM a member of the committee of the Alumni of The University of Chester, formerly Chester College. As part of our commemoration of the centenary of the end of World War 1, I am searching for any descendants of the 77 students, and former students, who were killed in this conflict.
One of these former students was Captain John Charles Hodgson, who lived in Stanger Street, Keswick, the son of Isaac and Emily Catherine Hodgson. Captain Hodgson was in the 1st Border Regiment, and was killed in action in the Dardanelles on June 28, 1915.
If you have any information on Captain Hodgson's descendants I can be contacted on suecarmichael@yahoo.co.uk
Any small piece of information will be most useful.
