MY LATE father Derek Cross took many railway pictures in the Lake District in the sixties including the one above, taken at Windermere on August 1, 1968, some 50 years ago.
That's when Windermere had a 'big' station, the site now, of course, of the head office of Lakeland.
We had this print done because my family thought the boy in it was me, but it is not! So I thought the boy, now aged about 60, might still live in the area or be recognised.
