IF A person sends pornography through the post they can be prosecuted. So why can't this law be applied to unwanted emails?

Every day I have to delete 'dating for sex' emails from my computer. The message line states that there are 'adult videos' contained in these emails.

I was under the impression that only people who watched pornographic videos and agreed to have 'adult material' sent to their email address received such messages.

I am very suspicious of all unsolicited mail and delete without opening them. Three years ago I had to refrain from using my 'landline' due to constant unwanted calls. Must I now have to stop using my computer because of debauchees?

The powers-that-be must do more to stop this sort of filth being sent through the internet. I am sure if there was a 'will' they could find a 'way'.

What sort of world do we live in at this stage of our evolution? This seems like a good time to shift the lever to reverse and get back to when morals and standards mattered.
