KENDAL is definitely the astronomical capital of the county this week. Down at Kendal Museum, our Amazing Universe exhibition features some of the most beautiful photographs of stars, planets and galaxies ever taken. You can also see lots of rare meteorites collected from around the world.

If you're free tomorrow night (Friday, July 19) come up to Kendal Castle after 9pm for a very special treat. After looking at the Moon and Saturn through our telescopes we'll stop and wave at the Ringed Planet, posing for a historic portrait of Earth being taken by the Cassini space probe. Days later, when it is all over the television, newspapers and internet you'll be able to say ‘I'm on that!’
