SKYWATCH

The International Space Station (ISS) is in the evening sky for the rest of this week, and there are some really bright passes to look forward to. Go out on the following dates, at the following times, and look for a 'star' rising up from the western horizon - that's the space station. It will then arc across the sky, from right to left as you watch it, dropping slowly towards the east. February 11: 18.10 and 19.47; 12th: 18.54 and 20.31; 13th: 18.01 and 19.38; 14th: 18.45 and 20.22; 15th: 17.52 and 19.29; 16th: 18.36; 17th: 19.21. You'll see there are two ISS passes on Saturday (February 13), which is great because that's when our next MoonWatch is. Come along to Kendal's Brewery Arts Centre after 6pm and we'll show you the Moon's craters, seas and mountains through our telescopes, all for free. We might even show you the distant planet Uranus and a comet, too.
