KENDAL Town winger Danny Williams has joined Blue Square Bet North league leaders Chester FC on a season-long loan.
Officials at the Parkside Road club had been approached by Chester on a number of occasions about Williams before agreeing to the loan.
Williams is said to be keen on playing at a higher level, with his aim being to play professional football.
Chairman Haydon Munslow said: “We are sorry to lose Danny out of the team but have also to think about his ambitions. We all wish Danny well and hope he does well with this new opportunity.”
Williams, who joined from Clitheroe in the 2010/2011 season, remains under contract with the Black and Whites and unless Williams is offered the chance to progress further, he will return to Kendal at the start of next season.
