Scintillating running rugby saw Kendal run in seven tries to demolish an opposition which had been regarded beforehand as a potential banana skin for the Mint Bridge side.
After winning there four opening games in North Division One Kendal had surprisingly lost to the two bottom sides while Westoe had shown steady improvement and had a reputation for forward power.
In the event Kendal's pack matched the opposition and the backs tore the opposition apart with superb handling.
Luke Ladell added yet another hat-trick to his season's tally with Simon Mulholland scoring two, John Ladell one and Mike Capstick pitching in with an opportunist try for the forwards.
Kendal 41, Westoe 4
The win was not as easy as the score line suggests, however, as from 15-0 down after 20 minutes Westoe had fought back to 15-14 at half-time and at that point looked as if they had learned how to stifle the Kendal attacks.
With a dry ball and ambitious handling Kendal were not to be denied, however, as they put on a show which regained their status as one of the likely candidates for promotion.
