KENDAL Town's match at home to Witton Albion has been called off due to a frozen pitch, but the rugby derby between Windermere and Kendal Seconds has passed a pitch inspection.
Parkside Road was inspected this morning (Saturday) but it was deemed unfit for football due to freezing temperatures overnight.
The match marked the first game since Lee Ashcroft quit as Kendal Town manager, with Dave Foster taking over as caretaker boss.
The next game is a crucial six-pointer against bottom side Eastwood Town at Parkside Road next Saturday, However, the Cumbria Division One South Lakeland derby between Windermere and Kendal Seconds is on.
An open day is also taking place at the club's Longlands Road pitch in Bowness-on-Windermere, starting at 11am.
