KENDAL Town's match at home to Rushall Olympic today has been called off due to a waterlogged pitch.
After no overnight rain, officials at the club were hopeful that the game would go ahead.
But an hour of solid rain and a forecast suggesting more would follow put paid to those plans.
The match signalled Town's first home game under new boss Steve Edmondson.
Their next match sees them travel to AFC Fylde on Boxing Day, with Frickley Athletic on the menu next Saturday and Chorley at home on New Year's Day.
