KENDAL took the lead after just five minutes and never looked back as they hammered bottom club Mossley Hill.

Steve Barclay opening his account with a penalty flick and Barclay soon added his second before Davis finished into an open net.

Kendal were in a confident mood and goals from Galloway and Conlin gave the Greens a 5-0 lead at half time.

After the break it was more of the same as Galloway bagged his second before Barclay sealed his hat-trick and then grabbed a fourth to make it 8-0.

Aaron Screen was a constant threat on the right and became provider for right back Gordon Blunt to score his first goal of the season with a crisp reverse stick finish.

Mossley Hill rallied briefly with a breakaway goal before skipper Davis added his second of the game late on, with midfield general Conlin rounding off his hattrick and a resounding 12-1 win with a deflected finish.

AFTER Saturday’s rout Kendal set out in a confident mood but found themselves 1-0 down at the interval despite controlling possession for large parts.

The Greens stuck to their task though and got a deserved equaliser when Davis deflected in at the back post following good work from Ewan Galloway.

Kendal continued to press high with defenders Donaldson, Woodman, Parfitt and Blunt often being found deep in the opposition half.

The Greens left it late but rounded off the win as the ball fell to John Stanworth at the back post, who made no mistake in sealing the three points.

WINDERMERE bounced back from two successive draws with an emphatic 5-0 win at Troutbeck Bridge on Saturday.

Will Dolman scored a hat-trick - two drag flicks at short corners and a goal in open play - and Harry Jackson netted twice from close range to get the Lakes side back on course for the title.

This weekend is a key match in the championship countdown as they travel to closest rivals Lancaster University on Saturday.

Victory either way could prove decisive as the students have a similar fixture card to Mere on the run-in.

Mere's man of the match award on Saturday was shared between Harry Jackson and Tom Dolman.

Meanwhile South Lakes drew 2-2 with Didsbury Northern Thirds and they are 10th in Division Three North.
