ASKAM United extended their lead at the summit of West Lancashire Football League Division Two with a comfortable victory at Croston Sports.

Kyle Jefferson, Jordan Rayner and Chris McLean scored the goals as Askam moved 16 points clear of second-placed GSK Ulverston Rangers, who now have five games in hand.

Elsewhere, the league programme was decimated by the weather with a whole host of postponements leaving the vast majority of clubs without a fixture.

Slyne with Hest, Dalton United, Furness Rovers, Ambleside United, Furness Cavaliers, GSK Ulverston Rangers and Milnthorpe Corinthians all suffered due to the inclement conditions as their league clashes were called off.
