LOSING out to the weather means that Kendal have slipped to sixth place in North Division One, but results elsewhere ensured that spirits stay high at Mint Bridge.
Leaders Caldy, odds on favourites to win the league, demolished second placed Beverley and third-placed Altrincham Kersal lost heavily at Huddersfield.
Consequently if Kendal eventually win their postponed match with Stockport they can shoot back up to third place and with Beverley still to play it is by no means impossible for Kendal to grab the all important runners-up spot and a place in the promotion play-offs,.
Meanwhile attention turns to the EDF Intermediate Cup and on Saturday Kendal are home to Liverpool St Helens in a fourth round tie. Kick-off is at 2pm.
