THE time was right for two golfers when they scored hole-in-ones during recent club competitions to be rewarded with a limited-edition BOSS watch as recognition for the achievement.
Lancaster golfer Mark Wiggins, 33, scored his ace with a five-iron on the 185-yard, par-three 14th at Lansil GC.
He said: “My initial response to my strike was, ‘wow, that felt lovely, right off the middle of the club’.
“This was my first ever hole-in-one in a competition and made extra special because my identical twin brother had also scored a hole-in-one, on another par-three about a month earlier.”
And Ieuan Jones, 48, scored his ace on the 161-yard, par-three eighth at Ulverston.
He said: “This was the proudest moment I’ve ever experienced. I ended up with a net 72 and then found out I’d won both Ulverston’s player of the year and most improved player."
