IN-FORM Adam Chapman has secured yet another victory - winning the North of England Open Amateur Strokeplay Championship at Pannal Golf Club in Harrogate.
The Windermere Golf Club sensation led the field from the very start and finished with rounds of 65, 69, 69 and 73 - one stroke ahead of Meltham Golf Club's Jamie Bower.
Chapman also picked up the County Plate for Cumbria alongside Workington’s Ryan Pearson.
The pair recorded the best combined score of 274 after 36 holes, with Chapman scoring 134 and Pearson 140.
It’s been an extraordinary season for Chapman, who only last month celebrated being selected to play for the England Elite Squad in 2015.
He won the Vardon Grip trophy and was crowned the South of England open amateur strokeplay champion in July.
“I am delighted to have won this event, particularly with such a strong field.” said Chapman. “This win has certainly put the icing on the cake for my season!”
Club Chairman Cliff Heath said: “Once again, we are celebrating Adam’s form and are thrilled that he is playing so tremendously.
"To be crowned winner of both the North and South of England open amateur strokeplay championships is an exceptionally rare achievement and on behalf of all our members, we offer him our hearty congratulations.”
