ROB Wilson and Isaac Kusaloka climbed off the substitutes bench to help Kendal Town edge a seven goal thriller - maintaining manager Michael Stringfellow's unbeaten five game run.

Jeff King, on his home debut, gave the Mintcakes the lead with a deflected 30th minute strike but Kendal were pegged back just five minutes later when Malachi Farquharson rose unchallenged from a corner to nod home.

Striker Mark Jackson restored Kendal's lead on the stroke of half-time after good work by King on the wing.

The second half saw few chances but the game exploded into life with ten minutes left on the clock.

Nathan Cartman fired home a penalty after skipper Warren Beattie was judged to have used his hand in the box but Wilson's curling effort from the edge of the box put the home side back in front two minutes later.

Kusaloka added a fourth on 88 minutes before centre-half Michael Morris thumped home a late consolation goal.
