GEORGE Mason scored four goals as Kendal Town CDS picked up their first win of the season with a 7-2 rout of Barrow in the Lancashire Floodlight League at the Lancaster and Morecambe College Stadium.

The CDS set about the task quickly and opened the scoring after a minute when a ball into the box was headed expertly into the top left hand corner of the net by Kacper Kesy.

Kendal doubled their lead a few minutes later capitalising on Vincent Bangooyes error in the Barrow goal to leave Mason with the simplest of tasks as he slotted the ball home past the despairing keeper.

There was further woe for the visitors when a ball deflected off one of their own players as CDS cruised into a 3-0 lead.

Kendal continued to display some fantastic football in front of a crowd of 45 people as Mason bagged his second.

The Under 18s dominated the half missing some good opportunities through Connor Adams and Joseph Dickson.

With the half coming to a close Barrow got a goal back when Daniel Doherty headed home past Richard Jackson in the CDS goal

In the second half, the Under 18’s were in no mood to ease off as Mason completed his hat trick on 46 minutes.

Substitute Jake Walker added a sixth before Mason rounded off Kendal's scoring.

Nathan Watson added a late consolation for Barrow.
