The second round of The Junior Cup saw Burneside's Reserves of Division Three pull of a shock 3-1 home win over Westmorland League Division Two Leaders Unisun Athletic.

Dale Atkinson, Chris Grainger and an own goal ensured the unexpected win.

Another cup upset followed as Westmorland League Division 4 side Carleton Banks won 2-1 at home to Ibis of Division Two.

Braithwaite also progress thanks to a 6-2 win at Kirkby Thore Rangers, whilst Cartmel and District won 2-0 at Penrith Academy, with Ullswater Utd winning 6-2 at Staveley Utd.

In the Westmorland League Division One, Sedbergh Wanderers moved up to third in the table following a 3-1 win at Ambleside Utd Reserves. Luke Packham, Elliot Oxley and Alistair Bainbrige finding the back of the net.

Meanwhile at The Old Showfield, Kirkoswald went three points clear at the top of Division One thanks to a 3-1 win over Lunesdale Utd.

A Sean Elliott brace, and goals from Louis Renvoise and Jack Mounsey sealed the win.

There were also Three High Sheriffs Cup matches, as defending cup holders Kendal Utd won 2-0 at Kendal County Reserves thanks to Cameron and Curtis Nicholson finding the back of the net for Brian Fleming's team.

Appleby also progressed thanks to a 3-1 home win over Wetheriggs Utd.

Jordan Crawford, Dan Rob and Roger Thompson grabbed the goals.

In the final High Sheriffs Cup match, Carvetti Utd won 2-1 in extra time at Windermere.

In the Westmorland League Division Two, there were just only games.

Burneside suffered a 3-2 reverse at Coniston with Dan Grinley and Ethan Ellwood with the consolation goals.

Keswick's Reserves emphatically won 4-1 at Langwathby Utd.

Lee Collins, Rory Mc Donald, Adam Gaskell and Eddie Thomson got on the score sheet for the visitors.

Division Three saw Ibis Reserves pick up a crucial 3-0 home win over Windermere's Reserves, while Appleby Reserves won 3-0 at Eden thanks to strikes from Andy Butt, Joshua Addison-Adams and Jack Overs with the goals.

Division Four side Border City put 11 past Penrith Saints, whilst Pirelli and Dent Reserves battled out a 3-3 draw.

In the West Lancashire Challenge Cup Round 1 a Ryan Close goal wasn’t enough for Milnthorpe Corinthians as they bowed out losing 2-1 at home to Lady Bridge.

Benson Johnson bagged a brace.

Kendal Countys Cup tie at Todmordon was postponed.
