Ambleside 29 - 7 Furness

AMBLESIDE'S Dahiti Clark scored his first points for the club as they ran out comfortable victors over Furness at Galava Park.

The home team started the game at pace and had the Furness defence under constant pressure for the first 20 minutes scoring two tries to take a 12 point lead.

Centre Kal Thorman crossed for the first score and then after constant pressure on the Furness line back row forward Clark powered over the line.

Ambleside then took their foot of the gas which allowed Furness to get back in the game scoring a try out wide to bring the score back to 12-7 at the break.

Regrouping at the break and reverting to how they had started the game Ambleside camped in the Furness half and after a sliced Furness clearance Thorman took a quick line out to Rob Thomason who surged down the touch line to score in the corner.

The pressure continued on the Furness line and after a yellow card and plenty of warning the referee awarded a penalty try before winger Ben Roe crossed the white wash to bring the score to 29-7.

Ambleside next host Millom on Saturday at Galava Park.
