DAVE Mansergh's four goals were not enough for Crooklands Casuals as Eagley picked up their fourth win of the season in a ten-goal thriller in the Premier Division of the West Lancashire Football League.

Ashley Walton, Matthew Johnstone and Simon Whaley scored in the first half for Eagley while Mansergh scored on the stroke of the whistle for Casuals. Whaley opened up a three goal advantage again after 52 minutes before Mansergh pulled one back. Walton bagged his second and Andrew Lindley looked to have sealed the points after a 79th minute goal but Mansergh hit back with two late goals to ensure a nervy ending until Eagley held on for a 6-4 win.

In Division One Ambleside lost for the eighth straight game in a row in a heavy away defeat at league leaders Fulwood Amateurs.

By the time Rob Walker hit the back of the net for the Lake District club in the 57th minute they were already trailing by four goals including two from Mitch Newsham.

Mark Wane put the result well beyond doubt before Newsham completed his hat-trick in the 83rd minute.

Elsewhere in the league GSK Ulverston Rangers picked up a vital 3-0 win over Mill Hill St Peters thanks to goals from James Pinnegor, Danny Leach and Jack Gardner while promotion hopefuls Poulton put Askam United to the sword in a 7-0 victory.

A late Joe Fiddler winner gave Dalton United the three points over Tempest United - their third win of the season.

Gareth Jones had opened the scoring for Dalton before Matthew Carter and Liam Stewart gave eighth-placed Tempest United the lead.

Jones equalised on 85 minutes before Fiddler hit the winner in the 88th minute.

In Division Two, a Joe Baker hat trick inspired Kendal County to a 3-0 home victory over Walney Island.

Kendal started positively and went 1-0 ahead on 11 minutes when Baker struck with a clinical finish into the bottom left hand corner of the net.

Kendal continued to dominate the half, whilst Walney Island offered very little in front of goal. Kendal should have been out of sight as plenty of chances went begging however they made the game safe on 71 minutes when Baker grabbed his second before putting the game to bed with his hat trick three minutes later.

And, sitting second bottom of the league, Milnthorpe Corinthians pulled off a major shock in a 3-3 draw at league leaders Ladybridge.

Adam Garnett and Cory Vickers had given Milnthorpe an unlikely lead before Scott Adamson and a double from Sam Parkinson put Ladybridge in front only for Garnett to grab his second, and Milnthorpe's equaliser, in the 70th minute.

In Division Two reserves Milnthorpe Corinthians Reserves and Turton Reserves played out a 4-4 draw.
