BOXING'S Bentham Bomber is looking to hit the headlines again after announcing his next fight.

Tomi 'TNT' Tatham has declared he will take on an as yet unnamed opponent on February 28 at Preston's Guild Hall and it is shaping up to be his biggest fight yet.

It will be his first fight in front of a 'home' crowd and he is relishing the opportunity.

"Within an hour I had 100 people coming - it's going to be good," said Tatham.

"When I'm fighting and I get him up against the ropes and the crowd starts roaring it does spur me on.

"You can get carried away but I know if I get hurt the crowd's behind me too.

"It'll be good for everyone, including me and my local fans that haven't been able to come and see me before - they can come and see what I'm about."

Tatham has overcome a nasty wrist injury that led to several months out of the ring but he is now looking to build on his comeback points victory over journeyman Mitch Mitchell on December 6.

"I'm confident and feeling good," he said.

"My wrist still hurts a bit but that's due to the cold weather but I'm confident in it and I'll get through the fight."

Tatham, also a personal trainer, will be training six times a week for this bout.

Ring side tickets including food and a table will cost £70, general admission is £30.
