IT WAS a high scoring return for the Kent Valley Junior Football League which made its return after a spell of bad weather.

In the Medalmaster Under 16 league, Wattsfield United opened up a seven point gap at the top thanks to a 7-0 home win over Ibis Athletic. However, Kendal Utd have registered six wins from six and have four games in hand on the leaders.

The Under 15 Division only saw one game played as Heathwaite pulled off a thrilling 7-5 home win over Ibis Utd.

Ibis Utds Dan Jones scored four goals for the visiting team and William Corrnthwaite also got on the score sheet but it was not enough to deny Heathwaite the victory.

In the Jim Troughton Under 14 League David Foster's Kirkby Lonsdale go three points clear from Kendal Utd's Rockets, thanks to an emphatic 10-0 home success over Ibis Athletic.

Jack Armstrong scored four while Owen Fitzsimmons scored a hat trick.

Robbie Alderson, Matt Clarke and Jack Mallinson rounded off a comfortable afternoon for the leaders.

Meanwhile in the David Hayton Peugeot Under 13 League, Swarthmoor close in on Wattsfield thanks to an exciting 7-5 win at Ibis.

Braces from Archie Bownlee and Morgan Dennison as well as goals from Jason Grave, Ben Martin and Will Guy secured the win.

Wattsfield Utd picked up an important 2-1 home win over Milnthorpe Utd.

Milthorpe took the lead before goals from George Reed and Taylor Finch helped the hosts to a narrow win.

Heathwaite Under 14’s stuck14 past Ibis Utd in a 14-2 win with Tim Winnard scoring five of the 14 goals.

Jack Gosling and Peter Clough also bagged hat tricks.

Elsewhere, a Brennan Molyneux hat trick helped Ambleside Utd to a 3-2 win at Kendal Utd.

The Under 12 League saw Kendal Utd Rockets domination at the top continue with a 4-0 win over Milnthorpe Town.

In the rout of the day, Kendal Utd Colts won 17-0 away at Grange Utd.

There were three games in the Under 11 Division with Kendal Utd remaining unbeaten thanks an 11-3 win over Grange Utd.

In what was the stand out individual performance of the day, Ashton Owen scored seven goals for the hosts.

Appleby then picked up their first win of the season winning 2-1 at Milnthorpe Town while Wattsfield Utd put six past Ambleside in a 6-2 win.
