WINDERMERE Golf Club has welcomed a new captain into office for 2015.
Windermere-based Clive Matthews has been a member at the club for more than 37 years.
Joining Clive this year is Ladies captain, Pam Tigg, who has been a member at Windermere for 18 years and current Chairman Cliff Heath, who also takes up the position of vice-captain.
“Both I and my family have spent many happy hours at the club and enjoyed both the competitive and social aspects of the game.” said Pam. “It is a great honour to be Lady Captain and I am looking forward to helping everyone enjoy their golf experience as much as I do.”
Clive added: “It is of course a privilege to take up this role and I look forward to welcoming previous members back and new members to the club, for golf and social events.”
Cliff said: “We welcome Clive and Pam to their new positions – both experienced golfers and long standing members of the club - and look forward to their contribution in 2015.
“2014 was a busy and successful year at Windermere and I’m sure, with their experience and input, the club will continue to thrive.”
