JORDAN Connerton hit a stunning 15 minute hat-trick as Kendal Town ended a run of three straight defeats to shock league leaders Darlington 1883 at the Lancaster and Morecambe College Stadium.
Connerton opened the scoring after just two minutes when Craig Carney charged down the right and squared to youngster George Mason, whose shot was only parried to the waiting Kendal hitman for a tap-in.
Six minutes later and Connerton doubled his lead after rounding keeper Peter Jameson and poking home.
He completed his hat-trick shortly after when he blocked a Jameson clearance for another tap-in.
Darlington piled on the pressure in the second-half and gave hope to the visiting fans with a 65th minute Ian Watson strike from the edge of the box.
The comeback looked on when Terry Galbraith headed in on 85 minutes before Byron Andrews lashed in an unstoppable effort immediately after to seal the win.
