KENT Estuary FC edged a seven-goal thriller in the opening fixture of the Story Homes Kendal and District Sunday League at Jubilee Fields.
The final score was 4 - 3 to Kent Estuary FC whose goalscorers were David Wright, Daniel Asplin, Dennis Sharp and Liam Robinson while Grayrigg's goals came from a Wez Orvis brace and a single strike from Mike Todd.
Tom Ladds, who signed from Grayrigg FC at the end of last season, turned out for Kent Estuary.
Man-of-the-match was awarded to Kent Estuary's Adam Handley.
