CROOKLANDS Casuals were denied three vital points in their battle for survival in the West Lancashire League Premier Division.

Casuals appeared to be on course for a fifth win of the season after Steve Caskie had given them a 1-0 lead in the 57th minute against Lostock St Gerard's.

But with just four minutes remaining, Tom Spreight grabbed a late leveller as the Preston side picked up a point.

Crooklands remain in 12th place, just four points ahead of bottom-of -the-table Thornton Cleveleys but they do have games in hand over the teams below them.

In Division One, both Askam United and GSK Ulverston Rangers suffered heavy defeats on their travels.

Askam lost 5-1 at leaders Fulwood Amateurs - Brad Fox, George Pennington, Sam Braithwaite, Jed Smith and Phil Nagy all scoring - with Callum Rayner grabbing a consolation goal for United.

And GSK Ulverston Rangers suffered a similar fate at Lytham Town, losing 5-0.

Dalton United's match with Poulton was postponed while rock-bottom Ambleside United saw their home game with Bolton County called off.

In Division Two, Milnthorpe Corinthians were without a game while Corinthians Reserves home match against Stoneclough Rangers in Division Two Reserves was postponed.
