GOLF: Stephenson Cup held at Windermere
WINDERMERE Golf Club held the Stephenson Cup, the club's first major competition of the summer.
Mike Todd finished in first place with Alex Wood second and Chris Darbyshire third.
Meanwhile, Windermere have progressed to the first round of the Cumbrian Inter-Club Matchplay Championship.
The team of Andrew Milray, Gordon Greaves, Alex Rose and Mark Chapman beat Barrow in their preliminary round match at Kendal Golf Club and will now progress to first round to be staged at Brampton.
