IN the South Westmorland Seniors Bowling League, defending Division One champions Netherfield A appear to be in no mood to relinquish their title as they eased to an 8-0 win against KA Hale to remain two points clear at the top of the table.

Second-placed Warton A beat Windermere A by the same scoreline. But it is tight at the top with just four points separating the top three teams with Netherfield A (26), Warton A (24) and Silverdale (22) third after winning 5-3 at Burneside A.

Lower Holker A beat Levens A 6-2 to move up to fourth place with 19 points, closely followed by Levens A and Lindale A who both have 17 pts.

In Division Two, Bolton le Sands have a handy five point lead over both Holme A and Crosthwaite A after their 8-0 win over Warton B.

Allithwaite were the big winners in Division Three, winning 8-0 against Hawkshead.

Springfield B had a good win over Endmoor A,7-1 but it is Springfield B who lead the way with 13 points thanks to their 7-1 win at Endmoor A.

Second-placed Milnthorpe A beat Staveley A 6-2.

In Division Four, Levens B and Burnside B both had good results, winning 7-1 against Bowness B and Ingleborough B respectively.

Burnside B are top with 15 points, Kirkby Lonsdale B seconw with 11 points and Crosthwaite B third with 10 points.

In Division Five, Silverdale B won 7-1 against Milnthorpe B while Heversham B and Abbot Hall B battled out an entertaining 4-4 draw.

Burton in Lonsdale hold top spot following their 6-2 win at Windermere with 13pts. Abbot Hall B are second with 10 points, one ahead of Staveley B with nine.
