KENDAL Judo Club juniors have packed their bags ready to take part in their first international tournament.
The competition and training camp takes place in a town called Lund in the south of Sweden, near Malmo.
The Lugi Judo Club Camps have been running for nearly 50 years and attract hundreds of judoka of every ability from all over Europe and Scandinavia.
The Lugi Club has strong ties with Kendal Judo Club with several of their members regularly making their way across the North Sea to the Parkside Road Dojo for training prior to major tournaments.
The first timers have worked hard in preparation to represent the club for the first time overseas, attending extra training sessions at the Kendal dojo for the last year - and Michael Liptrot, the club's Senior Coach, is confident they will perform to their best ability and beyond.
