GOLF: Mike wins the Stablesford
MIKE Walsh won the Thursday Stableford competition at Windermere Golf Club with a total of 42 points.
Mark Jackson was second with 39 points, one ahead of Brian Muir.
In the Medal Number Five event, Jackson went one better than the Stableford event, winning the Division One competition with a score of 64-scr-64 with Ron Gough (72-8-64) in second place and Tudor Griffiths third (70-5-65).
The best gross score was Andrew Atkinson with 67 points.
In Division Two, Dennis Dey finished first with a score of 83-20-63 ahead of Justin Todd (88-24-64) and John Hodgen (77-13-64).
