It is very congested at the top in Division One of The Kendal and District Bowling League following the weekend's matches.

Reigning league holders Holme A are in pole position at the summit as they collected another win, defeating King's Arms Hale A 8-2.

It was the battle of two in-form teams as Victoria A defeated Windermere A 7-3. In the other games Bowness A defeated Netherfield B 8-2,while Levens A saw off Netherfield's C team 9-1.

In the final game Netherfield A edged out Lindale A 6-4.

Crosthwaite A pulled clear at the top of Division Two after a relatively comfortable 7-3 win at Abbot Hall A. In the other games Staveley A defeated Levens A 7-3, while Burton A whitewashed Milnthorpe A 10-0.

Their were also wins for Ambleside, Kirkby Lonsdale and Allithwaite.

In Division Three, Windermere B edged Heversham A 6-4 in the closest game of the week, while Ambleside B went top of the table after a 9-1 win over Endmoor A.

Lindale B defeated Lower Holker B 8-2, Sedbergh and Ingleborough A won 7-3 in their respective games, while Burton B defeated Hawkshead 10-0.

Division Four was the most competitive as Crosthwaite B and Windermere C battled out a thrilling 5-5 draw.

Levens C did enough to defeat Arnside B 6-4, while King's Arms Hale A picked up a useful 6-4 win over Victoria C.

Netherfield D were the most comfortable in the division with a 7-3 win over Bowness B.

Allithwaite C, Lindale D and Burneside C all won 7-3 in Division Six. Lower Holker C defeated Lindale C 6-4, while Milnthorpe B and Kirkby Lonsdale B battled out a 5-5 draw.
