Division One Leaders Holme A suffered a surprise defeat after they lost 7-3 at Levens A in a dramatic week of action in the Kendal and District Bowling League.
Holme, who had seemingly gained an unassailable lead at the top, saw Victoria A capitalise after they defeated Lindale A 8-2, with the Vics now just five points behind the leaders.
In the other games, Holme B defeated Windermere A 7-3, Bowness A whitewashed Netherfield C 10-0, King's Arms Hale A battled to a 8-2 win over Netherfield A, while Netherfield B defeated Burneside A 7-3.
Burton A and Staveley A were locked on 95 points at the top of Division Two as both sides picked up convincing wins. Burton A, who currently hold top spot, defeated Crosthwaite A 8-2, while Staveley A sauntered past Kirkby Lonsdale A with a 10-0 win.
The closest games of the division saw Lower Holker A edge out Allithwaite A 6-4, while both Abbot Hall A and Ambleside battled to 7-3 wins with victories over Levens B and Subscription A respectively.
In the final game Milnthorpe A had a comfortable afternoon after they defeated Victoria B 8-2.
Division Three remained competitive, as Lindale B extended their advantage at the top after a 10-0 win over Hawkshead.
There were also wins for Windermere B, Ambleside B, Burton B and Ingleborough A.
Eight points separated the top two in Division Four as Levens C remained out in front after they saw off Victoria C 7-3.
Subscription B and Bowness B battled out a dramatic 5-5 draw, while Windermere C won 8-2 at Burneside B.
There were also important wins for Netherfield D, Langdale and King's Arms Hale C.
In Division Five, Windermere D eased past Ingleborough B with an 8-2 win, Lindale D edged out Allithwaite C 6-4 and Lindale C also picked up a 6-4 win after they saw off Heversham B.
There were also wins for Staveley B, Lower Holker C and Milnthorpe B.
Abbot Hall continued to hold a 10 point advantage at the top of Division Six after they defeated Subscription D 9-1.
Holme D, Endmoor C, Burneside D and Victoria D ll picked up 7-3 wins, while Subscription C won 6-4 at Bowness C.
