There were some important results in the latest round of the South Westmorland Senior Bowling League.
Warton A picked up the most crucial result of the season after they defeated league leaders Netherfield A 6-2. The win sees the gap at the top reduced to just eight points.
In the other games Silverdale A battled to a 5-3 win over Kirkby Lonsdale A, Netherfield B defeated Lower Holker A 6-2, Springfield whitewashed Bolton-le-Sands 8-0 while both Levens A and Holme A ran out 7-1 winners over Burneside A and Lindale A respectively.
Windermere A continued to lead the way at the top of Division Two. However, they had to dig deep before they saw off Warton B 5-3.
Arnside A picked up a dominant result after they defeated Heversham A 8-0. Milnthorpe A and Endmoor A both picked up 7-1 wins, while Ingleborough A defeated Carnforth A 6-2.
In Division Three Abbot Hall A remained four points clear at the top of the table after a comfortable 6-2 win at Sedbergh B.
Springfield B also won by the same score after they defeated Burneside B, while Lindale B edged Victoria 5-3.
Allithwaite edged past Kirkby Lonsdale B 5-3 as they stayed at the top of Division Four, while Abbot Hall B defeated Endmoor B 6-2 in an entertaining encounter. There were also wins for Hawkshead, Crosthwaite B and Silverdale B.
In Division Five there wins for Arnside B, Burton-in-Lonsdale, Windermere B, Heversham B and Netherfield C.
