Competition remains keen in the South Westmorland Senior Bowling League with only four weeks of the season remaining.

Netherfield A remained ten points clear at the top of Division One after a comfortable 8-0 home win over Springfield A.

Second-placed Warton A continued to chase the league leaders after they battled to a 6-2 win at Bolton-le-Sands

In the other games Silverdale A defeated Levens A 7-1, Netherfield B picked up a hard-fought 5-3 win at Lindale A, Holme A won by the same score with victory at Burneside A, while Lower Holker A routed Kirkby Lonsdale A 8-0.

Division Two leaders Windermere A saw their advantage at the top of the table reduced to eight points after they lost 6-2 at Subscription A.

Carnforth A closed in on the leaders after they won by the same score with victory at Crosthwaite A. In the other games Arnside A, Ingleborough A and Bowness A all picked up crucial wins.

In Division Three Victoria claimed the local derby bragging rights with a comfortable 7-1 win over Subscription B.

Carnforth B edged out Burneside B with a 5-3 win, while Springfield B defeated Sedbergh B.

Levens B, Endmoor B, Kirkby Lonsdale B, Langdale and Holme B all picked up crucial wins in Division Four.

Netherfield C closed in on the Division Five title after a 6-2 win at Burton-in-Lonsdale. Milnthorpe B and Ingleborough B also won by the same score after they defeated Bowness B and Heversham B respectively.

There was also a win for Windermere B who edged Arnside B 5-3.
