After being put in by the visitors, Netherfield made a steady start after captain Barrow and James Park-Johnson put on a first wicket stand of 47.

St Annes made the breakthrough when Park-Johnson was bowled by Tom Higson while Bradley Earl put on an extra 20 runs, before his drive was picked out by Tom Bradley off the bowling of Mitch Bolus.

Hadwin dominated with the ball as he trapped Staines LBW, before he reduced St Annes to 81-8 when Tom Bradley and bolus became his next victims.
