The Kendal and District Bowling League entered the final few weeks of the season and there remains plenty to play for after another competitive round of action.

In Division One, it was the battle of the top two, as Holme A defeated second-placed Victoria A 7-3. Holme, who retained the league title last week, put on an impressive performance as they moved 21 points clear at the top of the table.

Netherfield C played two games in two days. They defeated Holme B 7-2 on Monday, before crashing to a 10-0 defeat at Lindale A on Tuesday night.

Holme B also had two games in succession as they followed up their defeat on Monday with another setback after being edged out 6-4 by King's Arms Hale A.

In the other games Windermere A defeated Bowness A 9-1, Netherfield A eased to a 7-3 win at Burneside A, while Netherfield B and Levens A battled out a 5-5 draw.

Burton A hold a seven-point advantage at the top of Division Two after defeating Ambleside A 7-3.

Staveley A’s chances for the title suffered a setback after they were defeated 8-2 by Subscription A. Victoria B’s quest to climb up the table continued after they defeated Kirkby Lonsdale A by the same score.

Levens B whitewashed Milnthorpe A 10-0, Lower Holker A picked up an 8-2 win at Crosthwaite A, while Abbot Hall A defeated Allithwaite A 9-1.

Three points separate the top two in Division Three. Lindale B hold the slight advantage after they defeated Ingleborough A 7-3. Burton B remained in contention after a comfortable 9-1 win over Endmoor A.

There were also wins Lower Holker B, Heversham A, Windermere B and Holme C.

Levens C won the Division Four title after they won 9-1 at Crosthwaite B. Langdale edged out Netherfield D 6-4 and Victoria C won 8-2 at Bowness B. King's Arms Hale C, Allithwaite B and Burneside also picked up crucial results.

In Division Five Lower Holker C saw off Staveley B 6-4, Endmoor B defeated Lindale C 7-3 and there were also wins for Heversham B, Kirkby Lonsdale B, Allithwaite C and Milnthorpe B.

Abbot Hall B won the Division Five title after they defeated Burneside D 9-1. Victoria D saw off Milnthorpe C 8-2 and Subscription D edged out Holme D 6-4.

There were also wins for Heversham C, Bowness C and Subscription C.
