The Kendal and District Bowling League drew to a close, after everything was decided on an exciting final week of action.

In Division One Netherfield's B and C teams were relegated after both tasted final day disappointment.

The B's, who finished second from bottom, crashed to a 10-0 defeat at Victoria A, while the C team finished bottom after they suffered an 8-2 home reverse to Windermere.

In the other games Holme A finished their season off in style after they defeated Windermere A 8-2, King's Arms Hale A saw off Lindale A 6-4, Holme B defeated Levens A 8-2, while Netherfield A and Burneside A both picked up 7-3 wins.

In Division Two second-placed Staveley A defeated first-placed Burton A 7-3. Both sides, who were already promoted after last week's results, battled out a competitive encounter.

Abbot Hall A, who were relegated to Division Three, finished their season on a high after they saw off Ambleside A 7-3. Milnthorpe A, who finished bottom of the table, suffered a 9-1 reverse at Lower Holker A.

There were also final day wins for Kirkby Lonsdale A, Levens B, and Crosthwaite A.

Second-placed Burton B defeated league champions Lindale B 9-1 in Division Three. Burton were far too strong for Lindale. Both sides can look forward to a season in Division Two.

At the wrong end of the table Endmoor A were relegated after they lost 8-2 at Holme C. Endmoor will join Lower Holker B, who finished bottom of the table.

In the other games Hawkshead, Arnside A, Burton B, Sedbergh and Ingleborough A all picked up final day wins,

Arnside B were relegated from Division Four, despite victory over Subscription B. Arnside, who finished level on points with Burneside B, lost out on points difference.

Bottom-placed Crosthwaite B finished their difficult campaign on a high after they defeated Burneside B 7-3.

At the top of the table Victoria C sealed promotion after they won 8-2 at Windermere C. Levens C, who had already won the league title, suffered a 7-3 reverse at Allithwaite B. Bowness B saw off Langdale 7-3, while Netherfield D defeated King's Arms Hale C 8-2.

In Division Five Allithwaite C and Milnthorpe B were promoted after both picked up comprehensive wins. Allithwaite, who finished top, defeated Lindale C 9-1, while Milnthorpe won by the same score after they defeated Heversham B.

At the bottom end of the table Windermere D were relegated with Burneside C after they lost 9-1 at Lower Holker C. Lindale D won 8-2 at Endmoor B,

Kirkby Lonsdale B defeated Ingleborough B 7-3, while Staveley B won 9-1 at bottom-placed Burneside C.

In Division Six Abbot Hall B and Victoria D won promotion, after both collected comfortable wins. Abbot Hall, who finished top, defeated Subscription C 7-3,while Victoria D edged past Holme D 6-4.

There were also wins for Heversham C,Allithwaite D, Staveley C and Bowness C.
