Kendal Town advanced into the next round of the Integro Doodson League Cup after the Mintcakes came from a goal behind to defeat Prescot Cables 2-1. Prescot had opened the scoring in the first half through a Jack Phillips' penalty in the eighth minute.
However, Kendal battled back in the second half and Oliver Wood equalised on 60 minutes. The goal spurred Kendal into life and Woods was unlucky not to score a second after he saw his effort rattle the cross bar.
In the end Kendal booked their place in the next round after Danny Forbes scored the match winner in the 70th minute with a well-taken goal.
