The Cumbria Suzuki Floodlight Bowling League entered its second week as the competition produced many competitive games in what were wet and miserable weather conditions.

On Monday night, Netherfield made it two wins from two after they routed Burneside 10-0, the second game of the night was also emphatic after Lindale ran out 8-2 winners over Sedbergh.

Tuesday night’s league saw both of Victoria's A and B Teams in action, The A team started the night with a comfortable 8-2 victory over Staveley.

The A Team got points on the board thanks to the partnership of Simon Airey and Alan Medcalf who picked up a 21-7 win over Staveley's Dan Monks and Paddy Hevey.

There were also wins for Martin Gilpin and Alan Sanderson who collected a 21-11 win over Staveley's George Tutin and Simeon Nobie while Bob Newby and Ian Nicholson as well as Dan Hartley and Keith Atkinson also collected crucial wins.

In the second game Milnthorpe edged out Victoria B Team 6-4. Rob Sayers and Maureen Park started the night off with a 21-20 win over Victoria's Michael Wilson and John Iddon. Hazel Wallbank and Mike Benson edged out Geoff Thompson and Steve Connell 21-18, before Barry Charlesworth and Mike Lambs 21-15 win over Victoria's Tim King and John O Flaherty sealed the win for the visitors.

On Wednesday Night Windermere edged out Burneside 6-4, before Heversham routed Subscription 10-0.

The second week of action drew to a close on Thursday as Holme A defeated Abbot Hall 6-4, while Lindale routed Holme B 10-0.
