Victoria A were crowned the Cumbria Suzuki Floodlight Bowling League Champions after they defeated Abbot Hall 6-4 in a thrilling final night of action at Victoria Bowling Club.
Club captain Matthew Simpson won five out of his six games played in the partnership with Alan Gilpin after they picked up the decisive victory to defeat Abbot Hall's Martin Wilson and Charlotte Hampson 21-11.
Victoria's other wins came from the partnerships of Alan Medcalf and Keith Atkinson, while Ian Nicholson and Paul Crossland also picked up crucial points.
In the other games Holme A finished in second place after a 6-4 win over Staveley, while Netherfield finished in third position after they saw off Windermere by the same score.
Lindale won The Cumberland Building Society League after they routed Milnthorpe 8-2,while Victoria B finished in second place after they saw off Sedbergh 8-2. Sedbergh finished bottom of the division.
