KENDAL Amateur Athletics Club was well represented at The Cross Country Relay Championships on November 4 at Mansfield's Berry Hill Park.

Kendal AAC fielded five teams and competed among more than 1000 teams from across the country. The under 13 boys team performed exceptionally to claim the first team prize; Henry Hunter ran the first leg of the 2km course in 7:13 to place the team in 10th place, Harry Bowen ran the second leg and improved the team's overall position to 4th place. The 3rd leg was ran by James Bowen, who battled through to take first place in an exciting sprint finish with the runner from Aldershot & District.

The under 15s boys team (Ollie Saunders, Jacob Smith, John Egnar, Joshua Roelants) finished their competition in a respectable 36th place with a combined time of 21:30 over the 6km race. A bottom of the age group under 20's mens team (Alex Birkett, Michael Dugdale, Luke Bowen) ran a strong race to finish in 19th place from a field of 49 teams.

Both the senior men and women finished in 79th place in their events. The Senior Men (A Russell, T Hartley, K Russell, C McGurk) competed against 177 other teams to finish in a combined time of 1:15:36 while the Senior Women (K Oldfield J Nowell, J Pennington) completed their race in 41:15
