KENDAL Hockey Club's first team came from behind to draw level with Rochdale in a 2-2 draw.

The first half kicked off with Kendal on the front foot.

Passing well and working together, the home side moved the ball and looked for opportunities to breach the Rochdale back line.

However, it was the visitors who struck first, and second, delicately crafting themselves a two goal lead.

The Greens refused the give up and Aaron Screen put Kendal back in the game when he latched onto Chris Woodman’s cross and slipped it under the keeper to make it 2-1 at half time.

The second half saw Kendal continue with the lion's share of possession, but Rochdale used their subtle skills to keep their threat alive.

Man-of-the-match Screen added a second for Kendal when his drag flick found its target, despite a defender's last ditch efforts to deflect it wide.

The match played out without any further goals. Try as they might, The Greens could not break down the Rochdale defence again and neither were the visitors strong enough to change the score.
